DV Dongle program sez to remove britty if installed ? anyone know if the package with "britty" is included with Linux Mint Mate 17.3 or where I could find it? Thank You the Bump

There is no britty program in Mint - or Ubuntu 14.04

Yes, there is - and it is installed by default in both.

The OP just spelled it wrong - It's brltty, with an ELL, not an EYE - and that's the one that must be removed in order to use a DVDongle.
