What did you download and what steps did you use to install?

udf is a filesystem used on DVDs and packetwriting CDs. Was Fedora trying to load anything from the install CD/DVD?

What wireless device do you have in your VAIO? There are quite a few 'proper' wireless drivers out there for Linux now. I'm writing this on an IBM R52 with an Intel 2945 wireless device using Intel's own Linux drivers, rather than NDISWrapper.

I've also got 2 PCs running happily on wireless with Belkin and Zyxel PCI wireless NICs.

i have a linksys-G 2.4 ghz part # wpc54gv3 pmcia card
i downloaded wpc54gv1.3 driver and ndiswrapper from
linuxant website, copied them to e disk and try to install them on my linux laptop, got the message
error volume udf.
the problem may be myself not knowing about computer programing i need to learn the very BASICS
but now i got to get this laptop of mine wireless internet.
does linux or red hat or ??? make a wireless card with software that is easy to install and works.

thank you all

Would anyone happen to have a list of Linux friendly PCMCIA wireless network cards? That might be a handy thing to have around.
