Will Suse 10 work on a laptop with Centrino duo?

Will Suse 10 work on a laptop with Centrino duo? Has anyone tried a laptop with a duo processor? I went to a computer shop today and was told that it wont. Is it true?

According to the manufacturer (Intel), RedHat*, SuSE*, RedFlag, and CS2C* distributions supporting kernel version 2.6.8 and above will work.

There are installation reports at TuxMobil.

No offense to anyone that works at one, but I've never actually gotten a correct response to any question I've ever asked at a computer dealer. It is amusing to hear their answers though.

When will Linux be able to take significant advantage of having the two cores?

OK so kernel 2.6.8 can work on an X@ or Duo Core, but when will it be able to take significant advantage of having the two cores...?

Right now. Do you think that SMP is new with dual core chips? Linux can fully utilize as many CPUs as you have.
