Hi i've got an AST Ascentia 810N it has got 4mb ram 2 pcmcia slots and a floppy drive (the hard drive broke)
i was wondering if what kind of linux i should put on it can anyone help me?
I think that you are mostly limited by your 4 MB RAM. Otherwise you could plug in a CD-ROM drive and use a live CD distribution or plug in a USB drive and boot from that. You might have to go back to a Linux kernel in the 1.x series to find one that will run with that little memory. It's not worth it.
You might want to consider recycling the thing. Here are some links.
