Toshiba Tecra 8100 power management

Hi, I have a Toshiba Tecra 8100 notebook computer, with SuSE Personal 9.1 installed. It would be nice if I could have my old power management options back, like have the ability to put the laptop in "standby", or even have a timed hard disk shutdown, monitor shutdown, and total standby (or even hibernation, but thats not necessary).

Is this something that I would have to hope the vendor provides, or is there another solution you guys know of? I believe that SuSE 9.1 has "KDE 3.2" if that helps.

Thank you.
