Replacing Grandfather's work computer os

I recently replaced my mom's windows 8! with Debian, successfully. When showing my Granddad, he wanted me to do the same with his old work computer when he was working on cellular one servers. I can successfully boot onto the usb but it freezes on the first menu after I hit enter to start installing.

Does anyone know what is wrong... things I can try. If not I am just going to replace the hard drive altogether.

Were you using a graphical installer? Sometimes they do freeze because of video driver problems. Check if there is a command line installer and use that.
