Problems with Resolutions,Sizes,everything

Hey Guys,

Its me again ;-) Now ive bought a Notebook, an Old one but its all right 2 work !
Its a Acer Travelmate 512 with a 800X600 TfT

Now ive got a hand full of Problems...

1.Some windows dont get Resized and i cant reach the Apply or Chancel Button, others get enlarged extremely so that i cant reach the X Button or Minimize Button

2.If i remember right, Linux could SIMULATE Resolutions, So I can Simulate a Resolution of 1024X786 on a 800X600 Screen (Linux or Kde resizes Fonts etc. so that it seems Smaller, because 800X600 Is very Hughe and i dont want always 2 scrool !But how to Activate or Configure such an emulated Resolution ?!

I Hope Someone can help me, my gratest Problem is that bad Resolution with this HUGHE Fonts and Symbols and Windows, inclusive its Content! ;-)

What about my English Today ? *smile*

Dont let me Hang greets Benny

You can change resolutions on the fly using Alt&Ctrl and the numeric keypad +/- keys.

Well I know that, but he can only change into 640X480 and 800X600

because of that, i asked if i remember right, that Linux can emulate some Reolutions,
because more than 800X600 my Tftf cant display... But I remeber a threat when someone
eith exactly the same Problem, emulates a resolution of 1024X786 and his Fonts
are much smaller and the Windows fits to the Screen !Because So the Windows are to
Hughe 2 Work Properlly ...
