cerebus_the_aardvark LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2006 Location: Scotland Distribution: Zenwalk, Familiar Posts: 1 Rep:	Problems setting up PPP on Ipaq The ipaq is an H3660 and it's running Familiar Linux, and Opie, Installing it is easy enough, but getting it to connect to the local network is giving me headaches. At the moment it has to be connected to my laptop running win98se, via serial rather than usb. I've set up the laptop to share it's connection via PPP, and afaik it's set up properly. However I cannot for the life of me get the ipaq to talk to the laptop via PPP. Under Wince the ipaqs internet connection is handled by activesync as a 'pass through' connection ( still serial), and this works fine, but I really want my Linux PDA. I have looked through the familiar PPP setup pages on their site, but the only help in connecting to a windows machine is for 2000/XP, or Linux. I have Zenwalk installed upstairs on my desktop machine, but I really need to use the laptop just now. Any help would be appreciated.
