problem regarding accessing Internet

Hi,
I instaled fedora 6 in my laptop. I tried to configure IP address of laptop using netconfig. But it didn't support that command. Please help me to configure IP address in order to access internet.

ifconfig should do the job. I never use it myself but use the manpages to see how. In the gui there is anetwork config tool as well.

What is the make/model of your laptop?
Are you trying to configure a wired or wireless adapter?
Post the output of the console command lspci. This will show us the chipset information for your laptop.

The graphical configuration tool is system-config-network (Menu System Settings - Network)
