Angry Problem Installing Fedora Unallocated space not recognized..

I wanted to do a multiboot of Fedora 15 on my laptop currently i only have windows 7 installed

So I shrinked "C" which was labeled as "Windows" the only drive which I had (System was another drive) anyways
as a result of shrinking C drive I got "E" labeled it as Backup which i also shrunk to an unallocated space
as result i have the following File/Disk Scenario

SYSTEM 199 MB NTFS
D RECOVERY 13.87 GB
HP TOOLS FAT 103 MB
C NTFS drive 301.43 GB
E NTFS drive 200.00 GB
Unallocated Space 80.58 GB

Now I insert the Fedora CD and during installation i get shown the following for installation
Unknown 1 MB
System 209 MB NTFS
WINDOWS 324 GB NTFS
BACKUP 316 GB NTFS

Now i want to install fedora to the unallocated space but it doesnt show up ?? Why is that??
How can i get the unallocated space to show up so that i could install this thing to Disk!!!

It would be helpful if you posted your drive/partition information from Fedora in Linux terms. Boot Fedora, open a terminal, login as root (typ su) hit the enter key as I don't believe there is a password and type: fdisk -l(lower case letter L in the command) and post the output here.

The numbers seem out of whack between the two, not just the unallocated region.

I agree that the numbers seem a bit out of wack.

The picture posted lacks some information so we can not get an exact picture. I would assume that none of the partitions are labelled as extended which means that even though there is unallocated space you can not install linux because you can not create a partition. linux use completely different partitions and filesystems then linux. If you delete one or both of the newly created partitions and leave them as unallocated then all should be well. I assume the newly created partitions are empty.

1-4 are known as primary partitions. To create more then 4 partitions one of the primaries must be configured as extended. An extended is basically a container for logical partitions. Once the extended partition is created then logical partitions are created.
