Question no mouse pointer on 2nd screen

I just installed SuSE 9.0 with XFree86 4.3 on my laptop. I configured XFree in clone mode so I can use my external monitor as well as my laptop display. It works fine but there is no mouse pointer on the external screen. That means, I can do everything when I estimate the position of my cursor. But it is very hard to work with an invisble mouse T

The laptop is equipped with an ATI Mobile Radeon (Radeon LY) and XFree is configured with 2 separate video cards. If only one radeon is installed, the external monitor shows the pricture from the laptop display like a virtual screen but with hardware-resolution ~640x480/60 Hz.

Can anybody help me?

Thx

I have installed SuSE 9.1 on a Packard Bell EasyNote laptop. After connecting an external monitor to the laptop, i had the same problem, no mouse pointer on the connected monitor. I solved it by adding the "HWCursor" option in the "Device" section (see below). I hope this works for you.

Section "Device"
BoardName "GeForce FX Go5100"
BusID "1:0:0"
Driver "nv"
Identifier "Device[0]"
Screen 0
VendorName "NVidia"
Option "HWCursor" "off"
EndSection

Karel.
