Mic on HP dv6000 series fedora 8 not working

Hi,

I bought a new Hp dv6648se Laptop. I am confused with too much Mic ports on my Laptop.

1. An inbuilt Mic near webcam with a mic sign on the lid(works in windows)
2. one port in front with some a wireless looking sign on it (works in windows)
3. Again another port in front with a mic sign on it. (works in windows)

None of the above three works. played around with Kmix and alsa-mixer.. but no hope.

here is my "lspci |grep Audio" report.

------------------------------
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
------------------------------

Can anyone pls help me?

Praveen

Sorry it works now. That was my mistake. accidentally i removed my pulseaudio packages. Now after installation everything works fine

Webcam works (uvc project helped here , http://dollarunderscore.wordpress.co...ory/hp-dv2000/)

wireless works (Fedora 8 was enough)
Mic works (Fedora 8 was enough)

Go to hell Bill gates
