Laptop Wireless Problem
Hi guys
I had to have my Mobo replaced a few weeks ago... Asus x52 with onboard NVidia 8600 pretty standard modern laptop... all went well... everything on my Mint installation seems to be working fine... as it was before... except the Wireless... at the moment I am using a usb wireless and that works fine... without it the wireless light shows on the case but that is all... no networks are found... it seems like the hardware is detected but there are no drivers... when I installed Mint it did everything auto so don't know what was there before... but whatever the setup was something has changed.
Could someone point me in the right direction to start... whilst i can continue to use the D-Link usb it is a worse connection than the onboard one and less convenienient...
Printout of lspci and dmesg were
Desktop $ lspci -v | grep -i network
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)
Desktop $ dmesg | grep -i network
[ 14.004724] udev: renamed network interface eth0 to eth1
