Question Keyboard Layout problem

Hi,

I'm using HCL Laptop Series 39. OS version Linux Mint 17 Mate.

I'm facing a problem that (Fn) key is working as Ctrl and Pause/Break key as Del. It might be layout problem. Any Fn+F1,F2 and all combinations are not working at all.

I tried to change layout but not layout is looking as my keyboard.

Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Anuj

Do you have "xev" installed on your system?
It sounds like you need to map your function key, but first you have to find out what the keycode for it is. The easiest way to do that (I know of) is xev. Open a terminal, type in xev, hit enter and you should see a little box and some mouse and keyboard data appear on the screen. Press your function key and it will output the keycode and keysym of that key in the terminal.
