Is it possible to make a .rpm file compatable on zaurus?

I have downloaded the linux LabView run-time engine and I succesfully did a file transfer from my PC to my Zaurus SL5500. However my zaurus pda can not recognize the format (it is a .rpm file). Is there anyway(additional software) to make the run-time engine file compatable with my zaurus...If anybody knows please get back to me asap

not to my knowledge, i did see a program that could convert java programs to the zaurus ipk format herez the link

anywayz, i'm sure you could do the same thing with c++ code, i'd browse the site to find out a bit more about the package system, you might have to use gcc to compile the source for the arm processor, and transfer the binary over to your zaurus if worst comes to worse
