Thanks for the info!
I guess the problems cause isn't the VGA adapter... The external monitor works fine all the time, and the LCD only acts strange rarely (20% of cases). For example this was posted using the LCD. Sometimes the ThinkPad runs non-stop for 5-8 hours and nothing strange happens, It is strange...

It most likely is an issue with the LCD and not the gfx card. If it isn't bothering you much then you should be able to get some more use out of it.
