Question How to install Linux on a laptop with a broken screen and HDMI output to Monitor

With the HDMI connection I can see the post image, BIOS, and I was able to use Windows on a thumb drive to install and run Windows (although it took, no joke, 5 attempts as certain drivers canked the HDMI).

I have a partition ready for Linux. I used balenaEtcher and Linux Mint Cinnamon to make a bootable thumb drive, but there is NO HDMI output.

Any ideas on how to create a boot drive that will automatically push HDMI video?
