How do I turn the TouchPad back on?

So I managed to turn off my laptop's TouchPad, which means I now cannot move the cursor, which means I can't click on anything or do anything. I don't have an external mouse. Is there anyway to turn the stupid TouchPad back on without having the buy a mouse? And will plugging in a mouse automatically work?

What distribution of Linux are you using?

How did you turn the touchpad off? And why did you do this?

You should supply more information before making a post,
so that someone may be able to better help you.

Well, you probably told your config program that you either:

a) Sold your mouse on Ebay and no longer needed it. Or,
b) Told a silly lie and tried to make it think that it some other kind of mouse.

So, what did you say your installation was again?
