Fedora doesnt like me / installing my Intel 3945ABG wifi card


ok downloaded the offical intel driver

ipw3945-1.0.0.tgz

read install guide said i needed ieee80211-1.1.12.tgz
so got that after 3days and a lotta posts finally got that installed after installing kernel-devel-smp packages and gcc?

to try and run the next part of the guide which is

building the ipw3945.ko module!

to which i get

Anyone shed any light on this one before i bin this little expidition of mine!!!!!!! Dual booting new dell Latitude D520 with XP and Fedora 5 i just want the wifi and audio to work under linux only working on the wifi now when we get this sorted will sort audio

Please need a Guru

Do you have your kernel-devel.*.rpm installed that matches your current running kernel. It is the source code of the kernel. It needs to be installed to build it. To check type the command ' rpm -qa | grep kernel '. You should have one called kernel.* and one that has the same number called kernel-devel.*.
