Question Duo Processor


Hey guys,

I got a lenovo 3000 N100 lapto which got a duo core 1.8 processor runing on it kubuntu 6. I think that their is a problem because usually the load on the processor is between 60%-100%. So is their any advices?

Run 'top' from a terminal to find which processes are using all your CPU time.

it's normal process, which non of them should take all of that resources. I think cause it's just caues I need to install the smp, but I'm not sure. So I though that I should take the opinions of more advance people than me.

Installing the SMP kernel would be a good start but still, if it's saying that 60% CPU is in use then some program has to be using it.
