Double tap a mouse pad
I have a Compaq Armada e500 laptop computer running Debian (stable) linux. On previous installs of debian, I was able to double tap the mousepad on a window and then drag it around.. This was also true for the scroll bar on the Right side of a window. Now, double tapping the mouse pad acts only as a double click, I cant move windows or scroll unless I use the actual buttons underneath the mousepad. I know this may sound confusing, but try it out if you are on a laptop. If I was unclear, le me know and I will specify the details more precisely. My questions is, How can I get back my double click/drag functionality...
You need to install package "xfree86-driver-synaptics". Check it's documentation to see how to configure it to suit your specific needs. They can be most likely found from /usr/share/doc/
When I had Debian Testing installed on my Compaq Armada 100s I recall having to press Alt and then doubleclicking to drag the window around (from any place, not only the titlebar). I was using Windowmaker, however, not KDE.
