Angry Crazy Mouse

Ok I'm a total Newb and this is driving me crazy.

My touchpad mouse has a scroll option on its far side, which is separated from the drag section by a ridge. I don't think FC 6 2.6.18 understands that when I'm on the drag side of the pad, I don't want to scroll. Nonetheless scroll it shall, but for kicks it doesn't do it everytime. I would rather remove the scroll feature and just use my page up and down keys. I keep scrolling through windows and back a forth through my recent web page visits. It is really quite fustrating.

If anyone knows how to solve this huge annoyance, please let me know.

Thanks.

In the case you have Synaptics touchpad (a good chance), you could install "ksynaptics" package (KDE) or gsynaptics (GNOME)

Then, for example in KDE, when you go to "kde settings" or "personal settings" - there should be a new "touch pad" option under "peripherals". Playing around with that should let you set the settings you like..

I hope you have either of those in FC repositories. If not, I guess you can find an RPM from somewhere, perhaps at pbone or similar.
