Does anyone know how to get broadcom built in wireless working

Natively, you can't... Broadcom being weenies. You can, no kidding, use a module that wraps for the windows driver. There's the open source headachey one and the commercial, 30 day trial pay driver:

ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net

and

www.linuxant.com

respectively.
