Can you enable this in the BIOS and then select boot from USB?
It's ok to be annoying, at some point everyone is a beginner.
Done it, still same thing. Should I try with another pendrive? Mine is a kingston data traveller g3 16 gb size. I have another, Emtec 16 gb too. Can try it.
Ya at this point I don't know. You can try another flavor of Linux too. Look at something known to work on random hardware like proteus or mint. That and do some research on booting Linux to a netbook. That might help you.
And this is still Lubuntu but on a different usb drive, correct? Just to make sure, did you download the 32-bit Lubuntu or 64-bit (shouldn't matter honestly, N2600 does support 64-bit)?

Well, despite that that processor is able to do 4 threads, the 2 GB memory limitation is going to be the limiter. The big thing is that I seem to recall when I had a netbook like that, it wouldn't actually boot on any of my USB drives bigger than 4 GB. I may be mistaken (I know I had SOMETHING that had that issue), but would be nice.
Lubuntu in theory should work fairly well on there, but since it's giving so many issues, try downloading Anti-x once and see how that does. Designed around usage on older hardware even more than Lubuntu is.
Just in case, it seems to be either the pendrive or the boot or the netbook itself which is causing the problem, because I just tried the ISO on a virtualbox and it went very well actually.
And sorry, didn't see your edit earlier on. It's the same Lubuntu on a different pen, 32-bit one.
On windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, using "Universal USB Installer"
EDIT: By the way, I had trouble trying to install WinXP on the same netbook... It went like it did not recognise the HDD at some point, and it said another thing at another point but I cannot remember.
Okay, I'll try some of those things. If someone knows something, please it would be great. Anyway, I'll update in a few days anyway to see if I can help any other.
