I have got a Lenovo Z50-75 AMD FX-7500 laptop which i want to put Linux on.
I know that different Linuxes work better on different processors, and want to know (from other people using this same model?) what OS is best for this processor.
I will probably use MATE desktop environment and am currently thinking of either Fedora, Debian, or Manjaro, all of which i have had some experience.
I have never heard that "different Linuxes work better on different processors". General linux distros have general kernels and they works almost the same way. But probably ...
So I would suggest you your preferred one (the best for you and not for the laptop). and if you want to tweak you can still compile your own kernel.
AMD is generally well supported. Looking on the internet for posts about the R7 and FX graphics shows lots of happy users, including games enthusiasts, with Mint, Ubuntu, Manjaro, Fedora, etc
