Atom N2600 platform - Cursor flickering/disappearing

Hey everybody I recently gave up Windows on my Gateway LT4004u Netbook and installed Ubuntu 12.04 on it yesterday. Now I know Ubuntu has some graphical problems with the PowerVR chip with the Atom N2600 with the GMA 3600 (rebranded PowerVR chip). But my problem is the cursor keeps disapearing after I move it and keep it still, whenever I type or move a scroll bar it disapears when I stop. Although this is not a major issue it is getting quite annoying.
