ATI Radeon Mobility U1


I have a laptop that I have just installed Centos 4.1 and the best video screen resolution is 800x600 now of course this has to be a driver issue I have visited the ati website which says linux drivers are available however i cant find the download link.If anyone out there has an clue how to resolve this issue this would be much appreciated.

Did you go into Display Settings or whatever and select "ATI Radeon Mobility U1" as your video card and select your correct resolution?

Yes sir I sure did but the issue still remain the higest resolution is 800x600..do you think there may be a newer drive for the card?

check your /etc/X11/XFConfig-86(or xorg), and see what the max. resolution is set at
