Angry Asus A4800k plus Audigy 2 causes kernel lock

I have an Asus A4k (A4800k) which is an AMD64 3200 (NForce2 150) and an Audigy2 ZS (Pcmcia / cardbus) running Debian.
In linux it detects and runs other pcmcia cards fine (i've tried two wifi cards out) but whenever
i put this card in, it locks the kernel without too much output.
ive tried compiling other options in and out of my kernel many many times.
If i remove the card, everything works fine, BUT i dont want to use linux of i cant use my damn audigy2! (heh)

any advice / help anyone?

(i will post the small crash output upon reboot)

-sam.

first try passing noapic to your kernel at boot.

and post this in hardware instead as Pcmcia works fairly similar to desktop versions. you might get more hints there.

if not consider a different distro.

Mandriva and SuSe are apparently centrino certified
so i can imagine Pcmcia would be pretty good.

Same here!

I'am having the same problem while installing ubuntu on my friends laptop with audigy 2 zs notebook.

Laptop is HP Pavilion 2206 EA, with Sempron and ATI XPRESS 200(which causes most of the problems)
2.6.11-9 kernel with 1.0.9 alsa.

When we plug the card in on a running setup it freezes the computer on: "??? interrupt on CPU0: This should newer happen" which is displayed three times and then nothing. Although when the card is unplugged it restarts the computer.

Also when starting with the card in the same happens. Without the card it boots and runs quite fine and loads the cardbus drivers. (Allthough ATI x200 graphics are quite slow even with fglrx propiertary drivers)

The PCMCIA slot drivers seems to load before the card but after that it tryes something and freezes.

I saw a post related to this earlier but they claimed it could be an alsa driver problem. Cant however remember where... I myself tried noapic and nomte boot options quickly before my friend got a bit frustrated.

If somebody can check if it works with 1.0.11rc3 alsa like they said on the post i've read it would clear things. My friend just lost his nerve and ran windoze until I can clear this.
