Caps Lock and Num Lock leds dont work!

Hey guys, i'm on a abnt keyboard using xkb and X11 caps lock and num lock leds are useless, they are always off, eventhough i cant do uppercase and lowercase letters just fine. xset led only turns on the scroll lock led. The funny thing is that in console everything works just fine.

Could somebody help me out?

I believe the problem lies in the keyboard layout somewhere. However it's a abnt laptop keyboard, what are my options besides "abnt"?
