So I needed a lot of time to get run this notebook.
Buster with the 4.17.0-1-amd64 works now perfect on the Aspire A315-41.
First boot into recovery mode from grub.
Then run all instructoins as su and with sudo.
sudo or su alone did not work anymore propper. (savety)
1 Check if you have the right packages installed
Code:
sudo apt install linux-immage-amd64 firmware-linux firmware-linux-free firmware-linux-nonfree firmware-misc-nonfree firmware-realtek firmware-atheros
2 The kernel needs now the information to run right.
Open the config file of grub.
Quote:
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
|
and go to
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"
and change the line for :Ryzen 3 2200U Ryzen 3 2300 to
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="rcu_nocbs=0-3 ivrs_ioapic[4]=00:14.0 ivrs_ioapic[5]=00:00.2"
and for
Ryzen 5 2500U Ryzen 7 2700U to
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="rcu_nocbs=0-7 ivrs_ioapic[4]=00:14.0 ivrs_ioapic[5]=00:00.2"
.
after the change save and exit.
Prove with
Code:
cat /etc/default/grub
The nocbs debents on the threads.
The ivrs_ioapic readress is because acer made a bad job. It comes wrong from the motherboard. Even the Acer Nitro need that.
Now update Grub:
3 Reboot and prove the Bios.
I could not update the bios becuse I get the notebook without windows.
Halt the F2 key to get in the Bios.
and try this settings
my Bios is still v1.01
Touchbad Basic
Funktion key behavior: Media Key
Lid Open Resum: Enable
Wake on USB while lid closed: Disable
D2D Recovery: Disable
xHCI Support: Disable
AMD-SVM: Enable
AMD-IOMMU: Enable
BOOT Mode: UEFI
Secure Boot: Disable
So that works fine for me.
WLAN and sleep modus works well, even with the QCA9377 (rev31) wifi chip.
