Not sure I understand your question, but xdotool,
http://www.semicomplete.com/projects...mouse_commands has a lot of options for finding and moving the mouse by coordinates, both cartesian and polar. Maybe you could use it to make specific movements and figure out the answer to your problem by T&E.
Also xte, which is found in the package xautomation, can make both absolute and
relative movements of the mouse by cartesian coordinates.
