Kernel Panic probleb on Redhat 9


I have been facing kernel panic problem in redhat 9 after installation complete. My main board is MSI (PM8M –V Series, MS 7104 Based on VIA P4M800 chipset), processor Intel Celeron 2.13 GHz, built in sound+AGP. My HDD is IDE and duel OS with XP.
I create a swap partition which is double of RAM(256 MB RAM), and a etx3 file system 5.5 GB mounted on /. I have complete in all installation process and finally rebooting and massage show
“ <0>Kernel Panic: Attempted to kill init! ”.
I can’t understand what is the problem. I have learning linux. Plz help me to fix my problem.

You'll need to post a bit more info... What does it say before the kernel panic? Last 5 sentences would be good..
