Lightbulb Kernel Compilation Prob -- VolGroup00 not found.

Hi,

I have successfully built the latest kernel 2.6.26.3 in my FC6 system.

But on rebooting the system with the freshly baked Kernel, the boot is stopping with a Kernel Panic.
Further up the list of messages is the line: 'VolGroup00 not found'

I guess the system is unable to find the root file system.
But my existing system is working fine with the same root:
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00.

The new kernel includes support for Logical Volume Management, the .config file says:
CONFIG_MD=y

Do I need to have some more options built into the kernel instead of as modules?? Is there any other option I need to choose??

Also, how can I check if initrd contains a particular module??

Thanks for your help.
