So, what I have now is a Toshiba Satellite C855 dual booting Ubuntu 12.04 and some other OS with a start button I think as I rarely use that side LOL. I have the onboard 2.4 ghz wireless working fine. I recently bought a DWA-160 usb adapter and installed (as seems many have) according to info here ..

Occasionally, I get a kernel panic referencing something about a dkms error. I suppose my question is 'Where can I find a log file of the actual error that is being reported?' so as to 1. Maybe learn something myself, and 2. Provide more useable info here.

My guess is that something with updating the driver isn't playing nice with other modules. Any help would be appreciated.
