16K stack size in 2.6..xx

I am trying to get wireless working on my laptop which uses the broadcom 4318 chipset.
While compiling ndiswrapper, I saw a message saying that 4k stack sizes may cause problems. Sure enough, I had problems when trying to load the ndiswrapper module.
The closest I have found to a solution on google was a patch for FC5 from Linuxant.
How do I compile a 2.6.xx kernel with the correct stack size?

Only Red Hat supplied kernels (and sources) have the 4k stack and the problematic 4G/4G patch applied.

What problems are you having???

I was trying to use the wrong driver. I have the correct driver now and wireless is working flawlessly.

You get the 4K warning with Slackware kernels because the 4K configuration is blank and ndiswrapper interprets the absence of a setting as a potential problem. As Lenard pointed out, Fedora is really the only distro that suffers from the 4K stack problem.
