Wireless Nic's

I just got a new wireless network setup in my house and it works great. I have RH 9 on one machin but that is still connected by cable. I am thinking about puttin RH9 on the machine that has the wireless nic. could anyone tell me how easy it is to set up a wireless nic on linux. Will it detect it and configure it automaticly? By the way the Nic card is a dlink wireless nic. thanks for any help

look at this

Look up your card and it will tell you what chipset the card has, and what (if any) linux support exists for it.

FYI, I have a NetGear MA311, and it worked right out of the box. It was auto-detected by Slackware 9.1
