need usb dialup modem to work with fedora ?

have tried 2 USB dialup modems with my Gateway laptop with Fedora Core 3 and can't get either to work. My laptop has a non linux-friendly winmodem so I figured I'd get an external USB modem. The 2 I've tried are a CompUSA modem and a US Robotics Faxmodem. Does anyone know where I can get a USB dialup modem that workds with Fedora Core 3 ?

Humm......... yes good luck. Do you have a Serial port on your laptop? Fedora 3 runs OK with a Dynalink 56K e-modem V.90 TAM /Fax/Data modem.
