What is Btrfs's disk space caching?

I noticed in my syslog that BTRFS reports enabling "disk space caching". What is Btrfs's "disk space caching"?

What don't you understand from your own searching ?.
Else the btrfs wiki is usually a good place to start.

It doesn't really explain it there.
Is there anything that goes into detail about how Btrfs works and how it differs from, say, EXT4? Someone mentioned a YouTube video, but I haven't been able to find it.

So you ask about a (single) mount option, now you want detail on how btrfs differs from ext4 ?.
Completely different conceptually. If you know ext4 internals, you could look at the developer pages referenced on the wiki.

That's what I thought. There is no "disk space caching" for ext4. But I'm wondering why. A comparison between how ext4 and btrfs operate would help elucidate this.
