Cedega "Disk space required for the installation exceeds available disk space" Solved

Man I have been trying to get Command & conqure generals to install for a few months. I keep getting "Disk space required for the installation exceeds available disk space" even though i got 10g free. Turns out that my main partion had only 600mb, I thought the problem was because cedega was pointing to the drive with only 600mb left for the temp drive. but is way off . it is that your drive maping in cedega config need to start as /.

my root or / = 4gb with 600mb free
my data or /data = 56gb with 10gb free

old non working cedega had no path to data
instead G: =/
i set g: =/data and my problem is solved.

I also set tmp from e: = /temp to e: = /data/temp

I hope this helps someone that had a simular problem.
