[SOLVED] Want to use Samsung 850 EVO SSD on Biostar M7MCD Ultra 1.5 SATA motherboard

This SSD supports 1.5 SATA and M7NCD is suppose to have 1.5 SATA; anyone think there might be problems other than SATA on motherboard may not be functional as it was never used?
Athlon Barton/1.5mb DDR400: this pc aint no slouch and this SSD might help it keep up with my A4-3300 & A4-3400 boxes
Also would there be a need for Linux drivers and might they exist?
Linux Mint 17.1 updates current. or older versions

An Athlon XP will never keep up with modern CPUs, the A4 CPU outclasses the Athlon XP many times. I personally wouldn't spend any money on such a machine. The SSD you want to buy will be worth more than the entire machine.
Anyways, if you really want to buy a SSD for this machine, yes, this combination should work, assuming that you mean the Biostar M7NCD Ultra mainboard.
