"Volume is scheduled for check" error

I have mounted my ntfs drive by using the force option because the volume needs to be checked.

"Volume is scheduled for check.
Please boot into Windows TWICE, or use the 'force' mount option."

The problem is this. I don't currently have windows on this machine. And I read that it is not suggested to use the force option in the etc/fstab (plus I didnt figure out how it is done). Is there something I can do to do a check on this volume with linux or do I have to remove the drive, take it to work, and plug it in to have windows do the check?
