Video playback on TV

I have a Radeon 9700 and the TV-out works fine apart from not being able to see video playback on my TV. I am using Xine VideoLAN to playback all files. I tried using quicktime to play .mov files and they playback fine on the TV. Where as VideoLAN doesn't display them on the TV.

Any ideas?
