USB Video Grabber Not Working


I have a no name brand usb video grabber and it wont work

Are you talking about one of these:

You must know the brand, try 'lsusb'.

The Hardware i have looks sort of like whats at this link and included ulead software and windows drivers

There is an icon in the system tray called BDA TV Monitor. I closed it and stopped it from loading up at start-up via msconfig tweak. Appears the BDA TV Monitor is from an old Hauppauge TV card I had in the machine at one time.

Yes that icon appeared when i had Windows XP and used the video grabber
and when i turned it off the video grabber would not work

Is there Any way to get The BDA Tv Monitor Working on linux

so i guess its a Hauppauge recorder
