USB Mouse don't move :(

Hello, here is my prob + Information:

I have a mouse in port USB (Mouse: USB WHeel Optical Microsoft) that when X start, I have KDM started, I see the list of users, etc...

In brief, the mouse is present but does not move: (

Information:

Debian SID 3.0r1
Kernel 2.4.21 + USB and HID compiled
Modules: Mousedev, input and hid are loaded..
My file of configuration X is "nickel" (perfect)

In brief, I wondered what to make to be able to have a mouse 100 % functional?

Thank you for your help as well as your answers..

I found a message on google search.

>Just type
>dmesg
>
>Or, if that is too much recent output (some
>errors keep repeating :}) look in /var/log
>files of interest would be
>messages
>syslog
>debug
>
>If it's USB 2, try unloading ohci
>modprobe -r usb-ohci
>and loading ehci
>modprobe ehci-hcd

it may work, but I have to try it in my friend's pc. I may try modify /etc/modules.conf or run /sbin/modprobe. brb in a few hours

- update: argh........ doesn't work for that pc.... OMG -
