I'm having a porblem with my Packard Bell iMedia computer and Suse 9.0. If I run mz system with a PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard, everything works fine. If I want to use the original keyboard and mouse which are both on USB, my system stops when booting. The last line in the BOOT.MSG is:
Starting hotplugging services [<notice>start services (hotplug)
ieee1394 net pci usb ........
In the /var/log/messages file I see a lot of information, but as beeing a newbie to Linux I can"t analyze this in a proper way.
In the file /etc/hotplug/usb.rc I already enable rmmod hid. rmmod usbkbd and rmmod usbmouse .
I like to get it runing with the orignal keyboard and mouse. Who can help me?
Did you try to install with the usb keyboard and mouse hooked up? Also, why cant you just go get the usb to standard adapters and use the keyboard and mouse through the normal ports?
