I have a turntable with usb audio input/output (Stanton T.90 USB).
lsusb shows:
Code:
08bb:2900 Texas Instruments Japan PCM2900 Audio Codec
dmesg shows:
Code:
usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4
usb 4-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
input: Burr-Brown from TI USB Audio CODEC as /class/input/input5
input: USB HID v1.00 Device [Burr-Brown from TI USB Audio CODEC ] on usb-0000:00:1d.3-1
I am trying to capture the input stream with audacity but only get large mounts of noise (pops crackles, horrible noise, etc.), and no, i do not mean a dirty record. There is no discernible music. It's as if the sampling rate is incorrect. I have tried all combinations of sampling frequencies and sample sizes. The specs for the turntable show 16 bit at 44.1 or 48kHz. Neither of those two work or any other for that matter.
