Come on ..... I bought it at 278 US$, the greatest Analog modem with the best ECC & troughput.
Fedora 4 doesn't recognize it.
Do I have to feed it manually?, you should be ashamed Fedora 4.
RH9,SUSE,Mandrake,RH7,3,Fedora 1 loves my modem.

What port is it on 1 or 2? Are you using KPPP? Are you attempting to detect on /dev/modem? If so try /dev/ttyS0 or S1.
Try sending some commands to the port:
# echo ATZ > /dev/ttyS0
and see if your TR light blinks... Then you'll know at least what port it's attempting to use.
Good Luck

I have to reinstall Fedora 4 to overcome this.
I called from (GUI - Kppp) and from Networking Device(Dial Up networking). Manually it works now.
Salute for Fedora 1 for the capabilities of detecting my Modem at Start Up.
Thanks for the AT command set.
Regards.
