pfloydde LQ Newbie Registered: Jun 2008 Location: Germany Distribution: Debian/Ubuntu/Solaris/Gentoo/SuSE Posts: 1 Rep:	Ubuntu 8.0.4 - Board M2NBP-VM CSM (mcp51) freeze Hello, I have installed Ubuntu 8.0.4 on a AMD64 (Motherboard M2NBP-VM CSM) with an MCP51 Chipset. The System freeze often with a Kernel OOPS. With only Textconsole (XServer doesn't started) too. If I insert the "noapic" Kernel Boot Option, the System freeze a little later. Anyone know the problem or know anything about how to fix it? Last edited by pfloydde; 06-05-2008 at 02:02 AM.
