Unhappy Trouble installing Conexant 56K SoftModem on SUSE Personal 8.0 with 2.4.18GB SMP

Can someone please help me?
I intalled SuSe linux on my DELL Computer a week ago mostly with out any problems except that it did not detect my Conexant 56K HSF Modem. I found a driver for 2.4.18-4G kernel at linaxant.com, but when I tried intalling it, it did not match with my kernel which is 2.4.18_64GB SMP, and Linuxant.com does not provide driver for this kernel version, what should I do?
Please help I'm desperate.

Try passing modprobe the option --force-vermagic or, if that doesn't work --force-modversion when you load the drivers.

Uhm... sure. In order to give you more details I need some idea of what you're currently doing (I'd figured you were loading the modules by hand with modprobe, but apparently you're not). What steps do you take to get the error you described?

Hey I got it figured out

I was looking online for a solution and found it, turns out to be that SUSE distributions comes with 4 different kernels but loads 2.4.18 GB SMP by defult all I had to do is go to YaST2 and istall 2.4.18 4G then istall the driver for the modem. And what do you know, it worked. Thanks for trying to help me. I am very greatfull
