System, Video Bios Shadowed

Hi, I have Hp pavilion 6000 which is I brought in 2007 with Vista installed in it. Later I installed ubuntu in it(dual boot of course). It was working fine at first, slowly the machine started taking time to load grub and suddenly it just hung up for about two minutes with messages: Press ESC to change boot order and press f10 to enter setup and with two loud beep sounds displays message press f1 to resume, f10 to Setup. With F1, the machine boots normally. When I press Esc it displays messages: System , Video Bios shadowed and then hangs again and in the after same time approx 2 min, with beep displays above message. Also with the F10, it hungs for 2 minutes to load the bios setup page.
I tried to update the BIOS, and remove the System, Video bios shadowed option which to my disappointment I didn't find anywhere in the bios setup options.
When this problem started my grub was corrupted, the link the vista Os was broken, I could only log into ubuntu. So I reinstalled vista and stopped working in ubuntu,I haven't removed or made any changes in the drives where I installed ubuntu but I haven't tried repairing ubuntu fearing my windowds installation will again have problem. Now I have windows 7 in my machine, I am really annoyed with waiting for 2 minutes for the windows grub to load and then these beep sounds.. Can anyone help me

Grub has nothing to do with your bios. The problem could be resolved by something as simple as replacing the bios battery (cr2032). Anyhow depending on what make your bios is this site might help you to identify what the beeps mean: http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm
